Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format (.doc o .docx).
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • Letter of originality is attached
  • The identification card of the authors is attached.

Author Guidelines

Submitted articles must be subject to the following editorial requirements:

  • Be unpublished, have not been published in any printed or electronic medium, or have applied simultaneously in any other publication. Download letter of originality.
  • Submit only one article per author or co-author.
  • The length of the articles should be 15 to 20 pages (including tables, graphs and figures), with 12 point Arial typography, single spaced, 3 cm lateral margins and 5 cm top and bottom and running pagination. In all cases, the document must be sent in Word format (.doc or .docx).
  • The submitted article must only have a title, title in English, abstract, abstract, keywords, keywords (3 thesauri and 3 JEL code) and the body of the text.
  • A file containing the title in Spanish, and its translation into English, full name of the author (s), name of the institution to which it belongs, ORCID number, country where the institution is located must be sent separately. of ascription of the author (s) and email of each author (s), in addition to clarifying that an electronic correspondence address. Download author identification sheet.
  • Include a single paragraph summary, in the original language and its translation into English ( abstract ); each with a maximum of 150 words, and with 4 keywords ( keywords ) in both. The summary should include:
  1. Investigation Camp
  2. Objective of the work
  3. Methodology used
  4. Main results
  5. Conclusions.
  • Abstracts that exceed the length stipulated in this call will not be considered.
  • The keywords must be related to the title, objectives and results. Two vocabulary words must be on the UNESCO Thesaurus list and the other two remaining must be linked to the catalog of the  American Economic Association,  Jel Code.
  • In case of including tables, graphs, figures and / or photographs, the author (s) must, in addition to sending them included in the body of the text:
    • Present them in a separate file, without locks or restrictions
    • In original editable format (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
    • Sufficiently contrasted shades in black and white
    • Legible letter
    • Arabic page numbering
    • Title and source

(The photographic material must be presented in individual files in high resolution black and white (minimum 300 dpi).)

  • The way to cite within the text (parenthetical citation) will be in APA format, Example: (Tovar, 1986, p. 23).
  • Quotes of less than 40 words are placed in the body of the paragraph and enclosed in double quotation marks with parenthetical quotation at the end.
    • Quotes that exceed 40 words in length will be placed in a separate paragraph, all indented, omitting quotation marks and with parenthetical quotation at the end.
  • When the citation is indirect (paraphrase), parenthetical citation must also appear at the end of the idea.
  • If the author or year of publication was named in the paragraph, only the remaining elements will appear in the parenthetical citation.
  • Footnotes will be presented at the foot of the page that do not exceed five lines and that provide clarifications or references on the specific point of the text that is indicated.
  • Only the references cited in the body of the text should be included in the bibliography section.
  • Said bibliography must be presented at the end of the article, as follows:
Book example:

The magazine Administración y Organizaciones subscribes to the code of ethics for the action and performance of the actors involved in the publication process of this magazine (Editors, Editorial Committee, Authors and Reviewers) established by the Ethics Committee for Publications (COPE by its acronym) and available at www.publicationethics.org.

Ethical obligation of the authors

  • Authors must guarantee that the articles are the product of their original work as researchers and that the data presented has been obtained in an ethical manner, so they must send the letter of originality and guarantee that they do not infringe copyright.
  • The article may not be totally or partially submitted to another publication.
  • Authors may not submit redundant publications in different issues of the journal, meaning that two or more documents share the same data, hypotheses, discussion points or conclusions.
  • Authors must guarantee strict adherence and acceptance to the editorial criteria established by Administración y Organizaciones.
  • It is the obligation of the authors to respect the authorship of all the sources that have been used in the elaboration of their article; For this reason, you must provide accurate data from bibliographic, newspaper, electronic, and other data collection techniques. They also agree not to omit any significant material.
  • Address the observations of the editorial and academic opinions in a timely and clear manner.

Incurring any breach of the above points constitutes unethical and unacceptable conduct; consequently, the proposed article could be eliminated and not considered for publication; likewise, the author may not be considered for any activity related to the magazine.
