Abstract

Research field: Knowledge Management and Innovation Management. Purpose: Describe the role of knowledge management for innovation in companies and organizations from a systemic point of view, and to review recent literature on knowledge management and innovation management. Methodology: The research question posed in this document is: what critical knowledge management patterns and components hinder/promote innovation management in companies and organizations, a model is formulated from particular fields of literature, i.e. knowledge management processes and structures, management frameworks, knowledge management systems, services. Findings: It was found that the implications for applying the model are in the emphasis on orienting the relationships between the elements that make up the model and in applying various strategies, processes, services and practices of knowledge management. Conclusions: which patterns and critical components of knowledge management hinder/promote innovation management in companies and organizations.
