Abstract

The study explores the relationship between economy, technology, and development in Latin America, focusing on how emerging technologies and economic diversification drive sustainable growth. Using a mixed-method approach, data from the World Bank and the OECD were analyzed, along with case studies from Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Peru. The findings indicate that artificial intelligence, blockchain, and automation have strengthened competitiveness and financial inclusion in Mexico and Brazil. Chile has excelled in renewable energy, while Peru has promoted ecotourism and sustainable mining. The research concludes that adopting new technologies and diversifying the economy help reduce volatility and increase resilience. This highlights the importance of public policies that foster innovation to achieve more stable and sustainable development in the region.
