Abstract

This article explores a set of innovative strategies aimed at increasing operational efficiency and profitability in Distribution Centers (CEDIS), considering the current context of digital transformation and sustainability in the supply chain. Eight key strategies are analyzed, incorporating emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, predictive analytics, partial automation, sustainable energy, and RFID systems. Using a qualitative methodology based on documentary analysis and field observation in beverage and food CEDIS in Mexico, the study presents findings on the impact of these strategies on key indicators such as productivity, inventory accuracy, service level, and cost reduction. It concludes that the progressive adoption of these innovations, aligned with a results-oriented and sustainability-focused organizational culture, represents a strategic differentiator for logistics companies.
