Abstract

The organizational climate is relevant in organizations, although the study of sociodemographic differences in perception is limited. This research was carried out with the objective of identifying such differences in a sample of workers from industrial companies (N = 480). The method included Mann-Whitney U, Kruskal-Wallis one-way anova, and Spearman's correlation. As a result, significant differences (p = .05) were obtained of gender in satisfaction, consideration and leadership of managers; of the labor area in autonomy, social relations, union, benefits, motivation, consideration and leadership of managers; of the school grade in all of these and in satisfaction; marital status in union and leadership of managers. Job seniority was related to satisfaction, consideration and leadership of managers (r = -.10 to r = -. 12), and age to none. These differences and the importance of identifying them to manage the organizational climate and carry out more effective interventions are discussed.
