Abstract

This article aims to study the paradigm of complex adaptive systems applied to the dynamics of organizations to offer study alternatives in the management of complexity in their structures, strategies, and management in contexts of uncertainty and contingencies. It is argued that this perspective can be applied to various forms of organization (public, private, legal, educational, health, among others). For this purpose, a documentary review was carried out that involved theoretical contributions on the conception of complex adaptive systems and the term organization; Subsequently, the relationships between the two are exposed to lay the foundations and present a proposal for the term organization from the perspective of the sciences of complexity. To conclude, organizations are non-linear and open systems that present constant changes due to feedback processes and interaction with the environment.
